It was founded in 1987 by a family that had been dedicated to vine growing for generations and it is now the leading private Conegliano-Valdobbiadene DOCG wine maker, with countless accolades from top wine competitions.
The Val de Brun Estate is the cornerstone of the Astoria winery: the vineyards span 40 hectares of the picturesque Prosecco Hills, whose unique landscape was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2019. Since 2014, the company has espoused the Vignes Fleuries protocol, which was based on the experiences of French vine growers and has reduced the amount of human intervention required in vineyards. Astoria Wines was the first Conegliano-Valdobbiadene winery to earn Italian National Integrated Crop Management Quality System (SQNPI) certification, as shown by the bee symbol that has appeared on Prosecco Superiore bottles since the 2018 vintage.

Thanks to the meticulous work done by its technicians and growers, every year Astoria Wines processes seven million kilograms of grapes – in a facility that is dedicated exclusively to wine making – and turns them into a star-studded line-up of wines from the Treviso area and beyond that can be found in the best bars and restaurants across the globe.

For example, take the Astoria No Borders trophy, the Nova Facility football team (made up of asylum seekers), the campaign inspired by Martin Luther King’s I Have a Dream speech, the company’s sponsorship of the Togo national football team at the Germany 2006 World Cup, and its work with former Inter Milan player Iván Córdoba and his Colombia Te Quiere Ver foundation.

Astoria’s devotion to equity and equal rights are underlined by its ongoing partnerships with Venezia Pride in Venice and the Treviso Pride association, which was established to organize the first Gay Pride event in Treviso in 2016 and to promote greater tolerance and awareness.
